Edgar Legoale Foundation Welcomes Angel Thekiso “Pink Grapes” as New Soccer Commentator for Upcoming Tournaments

The Edgar Legoale Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Angel Thekiso, known as “Pink Grapes,” as the new soccer commentator for all upcoming Edgar Legoale Tournaments. Angel, an accomplished soccer commentator, analyst, Founder of Angel Vision Media, A Graduate in TV and Radio Production and sports presenter at CUT FM in Bloemfontein, brings a wealth of experience to the role. She is from Parys. She will replace Dj Pots, also known as Mzwandile Sontyale, who has recently been appointed as Tournament Manager.

Angel Thekiso has established herself as a dynamic voice in South African sports media, working with multiple media outlets as a DJ, broadcaster, and podcaster. Her versatility and passion for soccer have earned her a respected place in the industry, and her new role with the Edgar Legoale Foundation marks an exciting step in her career. She will begin her commentary at the upcoming Edgar Legoale Festive Soccer Tournament 2024, scheduled for 14-22 December 2024 at Mandela Sports Ground in Tumahole, Parys, Free State. She will also lend her voice to other tournaments managed by the Foundation.

Joining Angel on the commentary team is Tshediso Lenka from Vredefort, the main commentator who has been with the Edgar Legoale Tournaments since their inception. Together, they will bring the excitement of the game to fans, providing in-depth analysis and engaging coverage.

Edgar Legoale, Chairperson of the Edgar Legoale Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm about Angel’s appointment, highlighting the Foundation’s commitment to supporting women in sports. “We are thrilled to welcome Angel ‘Pink Grapes’ Thekiso to our commentary team. Her experience and energy align with our vision for the Edgar Legoale Tournaments, and we are proud to see our Tournament Manager making positive changes that prioritise women’s involvement in our events,” said Legoale.

Dj Pots, newly appointed Tournament Manager, also shared his thoughts on Angel’s appointment, emphasising the Tournament’s dedication to inclusivity and growth. “Appointing Angel as our commentator is a step forward in creating a more inclusive environment within our tournaments. Her insights and expertise will not only elevate our coverage but will also inspire aspiring female commentators across the country,” he remarked.
