Ngwathe Easter Experience 2026 – An Integrated Easter Development Programme

The Edgar Legoale Foundation is proud to officially announce the full rollout of the Ngwathe Easter Experience 2026, a comprehensive, multi-event Easter development programme taking place from 21 March to 05 April 2026 in Tumahole and Parys, Free State.

The Ngwathe Easter Experience is not merely a music festival. It is a structured, policy-aligned and community-driven platform that integrates education, youth development, sport, tourism, arts and culture, SMME empowerment and family-centred social cohesion.

As outlined in our Master Sponsorship & Partnership Proposal  , the 2026 programme has evolved into an integrated Easter activation designed to deliver measurable socio-economic impact within Ngwathe Local Municipality and the broader Fezile Dabi District.

A PROGRAMME WITH PURPOSE

Founded in 2023, the Ngwathe Easter Experience was established to respond to key challenges in our community, including:

  • Limited structured Easter-period activities for youth
  • High youth unemployment and disengagement
  • Lack of platforms linking entertainment to development outcomes
  • Limited exposure for local artists and township entrepreneurs
  • Under-utilisation of public infrastructure

For 2026, the programme has been deliberately redesigned to align with national, provincial and municipal development frameworks while creating visible and practical impact over a focused two-week Easter period.
